January Item of the Month

Wyoming Food for Thought Project provides a year-round weekend food bag program to food insecure children throughout Natrona County. This includes the average two-day weekends, as well as extended holiday breaks such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring break. During the 2017-2018 school year, we were feeding 700 children throughout Natrona County each and every weekend, totaling 236,388 meals! That is why we are promoting a monthly suggested food item to collect, to help with acquiring more bulk amounts of essential items we need. With our recent purchase of the old Powder River VFW, the Winter Makers Market has found its forever home! To celebrate, we have decided to host the Winter Makers Market EVERY SATURDAY! You heard that right, not only have we increased the number of markets, but we have also extended the hours from 9:00am-3:00pm! We will have a wide variety of vendors selling their locally handmade, homemade and homegrown goods to meet all of your wants and needs, including fresh produce, dairy products, farm fresh eggs, local meats, baked goods, body care products, home decor, locally roasted coffee and much, much more.
