The Wyoming Food for Thought Project continually hosts and participates in many different fundraising events throughout the year, from food drives to community events, the annual Turkey Drive, the annual week-long Toy Drive and more! Volunteers are a vital part in ensuring that we not only get the Wyoming Food for Thought Project name out into the community, but that we raise as many monetary and food donations as possible to maintain our various programs.

Wyoming Food for Thought Project hosted its first Canstruction® event in 2014 at the Eastridge Mall. A handful of teams from around Casper came together to build can-structures to benefit our weekend food bag program. It was a huge success, (and a ton of fun!) so we have hosted this event every year since.

Wyoming Food for Thought Project hosts an annual gala event every fall called Localicious. It is a time where we can celebrate all that we have accomplished in the last year, over the bounty of produce we grew in our Urban Farm, and with locally sourced foods created by a local chef.

Birds n Bucks Food Drive
Each year, the Wyoming Food for Thought Project and Townsquare Media partner up to host the annual Birds n Bucks Food Drive, to assist local food pantries in getting enough food to hand out for Thanksgiving. People can donate turkeys, fixings, or make a monetary donation.
Volunteers are also welcome to help with this event. If you are interested in volunteering, or would like to stay up to date on the upcoming Birds n Bucks Food Drive, click the link below.
Stuff the Van Toy Drive
Wyoming Food for Thought Project and Townsquare Media also partner up for the annual Stuff the Van Toy Drive, where we collect toys for children in our community. We partner with local organizations who help us sign children up for toys, and then stand outside for a week straight from 7am-7pm just before Christmas to collect toys and monetary donations.
Volunteers are welcome to help with this event. If you would like to volunteer, or want to stay up to date on the next Stuff the Van Toy Drive, click the link below.
Casper Mountain Gin Project
Wyoming Food for Thought Project and Backwards Distilling Company proudly present: The Casper Mountain Gin Project, a collaboration to bottle up the flavor of our mountain to create a gin unlike any other!
Combining local efforts in 2016, the two groups partnered when Backwards Distilling Co. was looking to source local herbs and garnishes for their cocktails. Since then, this partnership has steadily continued to grow and prosper, to the point where we cultivated the idea of bringing this limited edition gin to you, from mountain to bottle.
